I love to create art because it brings me peace, an escape from daily life, and it allows me to express a part of me I didn’t know I had.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I LOVE acrylic painting on canvas . Sometimes, I will paint on a wooden board, or on other items like a wooden serving tray I’ve bought from a secondhand shop, or a T-shirt. I love to paint birch and aspen trees as they are my favorite. And I’ve begun to explore painting portraits of my loved ones.
Where do you find inspiration?I love to look through photographs of birch trees, or take a walk and take pictures of birch trees that I see along the way when I’m traveling so that I can examine the markings and try to imitate some of them in my paintings.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were chosen to win the $25,000, I would buy better art supplies than I can afford right now - so that I can paint better quality paintings. And it would be nice to slip in a family vacation where I can visit some art venues that I’ve never been able to see before.
