When I create art, I feel alive, peaceful, connected, and vibrant. It keeps my spirit young and full of joy.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating Fantasy Realism using vibrant hues and mixed media. My art blends the living world with the feminine form, portraying Mother Nature while expressing strength, love, and deep connection. In many of my paintings, the tree or flower represents the woman, while the roots symbolize the man. While much of my work is created with oil and acrylic on canvas, I continue evolving through epoxy, stucco, fabric, and even furniture.
Where do you find inspiration?Nature has always been my greatest inspiration. I grew up in Pinar del Río, Cuba, surrounded by the countryside, climbing trees, and feeling deeply connected to the world around me. That connection to nature never left me. The beauty of the earth, human emotion, and the spiritual connection between all living things continue to inspire my work every day.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest a portion into art supplies and materials so I can continue creating and sharing my work with the world. I would also donate part of it to a local nonprofit program that helps children from low-income families explore art and creativity. I would love to give children the gift of possibility, imagination, and hope, especially since opportunities like that were not available to me as a little girl growing up in Cuba.
