I create in an effort to restore enchantment with natural spaces.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favourite type of art to create is work rich with rhythmic and poetic narratives in various medium. I find the expressive qualities one medium often influence and inform another, sparking a dynamic chain reaction of exploration across paintings, print-based work, illustrations, installation, and sculpture.
Where do you find inspiration?Reading texts on human environmental relationship has expanded my understanding of the collective consciousness in relation to our sense of belonging within the world. Micro environments in nature is where I find the most intriguing shapes, forms, and colour. How light ripples and rolls on water between river rock, and all the colours of the earth in shallow places can hold my attention for hours. Immersive experience in nature is where I am most inspired.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use this award to advance my art education, and contribute to ecological creative collaborations that further positive relationships between humans and the more than human world.
