I use the body—especially the hands—and the language of flowers and textural elements to tell stories rooted in memory, impermanence, and time. My work lives in the in-between, where something is both held and slipping away. Hands become a way of expressing what words can’t—connection, distance, presence—while florals act as quiet symbols of cycles, growth, and change. Through layering materials and textures, I try to mirror how memory itself feels: fragmented, tactile, and constantly shifting.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in flowers, plants, and the human body. I’m drawn to how they can express emotion without words. I also use color theory to help guide the feeling of a piece, letting color and form work together to tell the story.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the $25,000 to support my first collection and grow my practice. This includes renting a studio space, purchasing materials like canvases and mixed media, and experimenting with scale and texture. I would also rent a gallery to exhibit the work and use the remaining funds for documentation and promotion so the collection can be shared and experienced fully.
