Creating art that immerses me in a flow state, a near-out-of-body sensation. I cease making conscious choices, instead following my heart.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My preferred art form is cinematography, a dynamic and immersive 3D medium that has the power to evoke profound emotions in a 2D medium. Currently, I’m drawn to flash photography, as it offers a tangible and immediate way to freeze a moment in time. When executed flawlessly, the adage “a frame is worth a thousand words” comes to life.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration for my art often comes from everyday life. The interplay of light and shadow from Mother Nature captivates my attention, drawing me to specific scenes. My observations of public spaces reveal a constant stream of environmental actions, each captivating my gaze. I notice how my eyes track motion, how others create their own narratives, and how I become a temporary bystander, as if I’m capturing their story in real time. "Art needs inspiration, needs a source"
What would you do with $25,000?If given the opportunity, I would dedicate myself to creating art. I would block off four to six months, working in a rented studio space to build a new media portfolio. This portfolio would include Super 8mm film, film photography, and digital photography, all while learning the art of film processing. The funds would also enable me to compile a book, prints, and clothing featuring my previous work, as well as file copyrights for my creations.
