I enjoy creating art that focus on sociopolitical and psychological themes that deal with isolation. I also try to somehow resolve issues of isolation oppression and depression by revealing anecdotes that facilitate hope, and optimism. This dialogue is revealed in my landscapes and floral paintings. Basically my art is a reflection of my own spiritual journey.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration by sitting in nature interacting with trees meditating and communicating with them telepathically. The other aspect is that I am inspired by reading biblical text, commentaries written by contemporary and ancient theologians/ mystics. These ideas and prayer, is what compels and nurtures my creative process. In short I am driven to create this work by something Greater than what is seen in our 3 D existence. Art is my Ministry.
What would you do with $25,000?I would totally invest in my art business as follows: Revise and update my website, including an integrated print on demand component. Expand my home studio to include vertical shelving to store and preserve my paintings. Stock up on art supplies such as cradles boards, brushes and a larger variety of premium oil paints. More travel to state and national parks to engage in plein air painting on location. For, this will provide the inspiration to further develop new series of my artwork.
