My love for art stems from being my childhood hobby into something that has allowed me the ability to create and express myself with freedom
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Realism. I love creating realism because it lets me fully capture the intricate beauty of the world—every tiny detail, from the texture of a flower petal to the subtle glow in a person’s eyes. I’m drawn to how realism reveals the natural flow and harmony in both nature and the human form—how every element is connected and alive.
Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in the steady thread of my life—from the moment I was a kid in second grade, discovering my natural talent, all the way to now, at 37, as a parent. Even without a formal artistic environment around me, I feel driven to be the change I want to see. I create because I’ve watched something bloom from nothing—whether it’s a vision in my mind or a detail in the world I want to capture—and that keeps me going.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000 prize, I would use it to take care of my family first—making sure they have what they need—and then to elevate my art career to a whole new level. This is a chance to step beyond just my immediate circle—it’s about reaching a wider audience, sharing my story, and using my art to inspire others. I want to create pieces that not only reflect my reality but also connect with people who dream of success—giving them that same sense of possibility, that same natural drive
