Creating art is something magical. I immerse myself in a dream-like state that allows my hands to produce a vision that comes true.

It’s fascinating to create something with materials that are disposed, especially plastic bottles. I see something so beautiful and so flexible in their ability to truly become fine art and not trash. My passion challenges me in many ways and I have endless ideas and visions of what plastic bottles can become. Each bottle has its own story to tell, the journey from the water it carries, to the person who drinks from it. Plastic bottles have led me to create plastic sculptural couture.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in fashion, movement, women’s history, theater, stories, and the explorations of repurposing materials.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to continue my education toward getting my equine specialist certification in mental health and learning. It’s an assisted equine service that would allow me as an art therapist and art educator to work with clients at an equine assisted programs.
