I create art because I love to preserve moments that would have been forgotten. I love capturing love and putting that into a frame.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite art is photography. Capturing a single moment and holding a piece of it in time to relive again and again. I love reading a scene, finding the right place, adjusting my camera settings, and catching the right light. The rush of directing and sometimes just observing something beautiful pulls me back every time. It feels like chasing a feeling then getting to keep it in a frame to live in that moment forever.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in others’ moments, shaped by my own experience. A father walking beside his son, tux jacket draped over his arm as he prepares to marry the love of his life. A mother in tears as she zips her daughter into her dress. The quiet in-between, the glances, the breath before everything changes. These raw, honest moments are all the inspiration I need.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the $25,000 deeply into my craft and the people who inspire it. I’d purchase a few pieces of gear I’ve been saving for, tools that would elevate the way I capture real, meaningful moments. I’d also give back to my community through a photography giveaway, creating a unique, thoughtfully designed setup for sessions that celebrate connection and love. A portion would go toward building a small studio space of my own, a place to create, grow, and welcome others into something lasting
