I create art to show the world how I see it my vision of the Dominican Republic, shaped by my thoughts, feelings, and imagination.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I most enjoy creating paintings that blend cultural themes with interactive elements. As a Dominican artist, I’m inspired by my heritage and like to incorporate vibrant colors, symbolism, and storytelling into my work. I also enjoy experimenting with texture and mixed media to make pieces that feel engaging and immersive.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration by taking photos in my hometown in the Dominican Republic, capturing what everyday life looks like. These moments help me notice color, movement, and small details that often go overlooked. I use those images as references to create artwork that reflects real experiences and tells authentic stories.
What would you do with $25,000?If I had $25,000, I would return to my hometown in the Dominican Republic to create a body of work that transforms everyday life into powerful visual stories. Through photography and mixed media painting, I would capture real moments and elevate them to celebrate culture, identity, and memory, showing that ordinary lives hold extraordinary beauty.
