Painting, especially landscape, is the most natural way I express myself and connect with the beauty of the world. Creating the illusion of volume, form, shadow, and light is a constant challenge in my pursuit of perfection and truth as an artist. Where do you find inspiration?I find my inspiration in the careful and immersive observation of nature. Its subtle details, shifting light, colors, and ever-changing atmosphere form the foundation of my landscape work. By studying these elements, I deepen my connection to the natural world and translate its beauty into visual experiences that reflect both reality and emotion.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would invest in a deeply personal artistic project: creating a series of large-scale landscape paintings inspired by my experiences across diverse regions of the world—jungles, deserts, oceans, and more. As a Cuban painter, my goal is to translate these lived moments into immersive works that capture the spirit, light, and atmosphere of each place, sharing a universal vision of nature’s beauty.
