Art drives me, pushes me, grounds me. Its one of the most influential parts of my life and my family’s. This award would give me a voice.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Charcoal pieces are my favorite but I also really love photography and video projects.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from myself and ideas. Furthermore how I feel about ideas, and how others have expressed their versions. Lately, I have been reminding myself of the scale of the world and just how small we truly are. The fact that other people go through their own crazy lives. It has been quite freeing and helpful in my journey and my ability to express my art.
What would you do with $25,000?I think the first thing I would do with much money is secure myself financially, ridding myself of student debt, as I am currently a Junior, going for a Media Arts Bachelors degree. Beyond that I would reinvest this money to create new incomes so that I can become a hq for my family and my kids. I want to be a provider and to be mindful and kind most of all no matter what. It is these passions alone that drive me to succeed in general. This alone would allow me to explore my life and myself.
