My escape! Art is very freeing. It’s a way to connect with the Divine and a way to let my subconscious flow while I observe and interact.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
This is a hard one. I like making all kinds of art in different styles and forms. I like drawing with pencils and paper and inking with pens. I’ve found a love for color in digital art which has brought me back to doing canvas, working with oil pastels. I have ideas for sculptures and thought pieces. I don’t really put a box on what I’m doing. I just kinda let what’s inside flow out, mostly feelings I suppose, and sometimes dreams intertwined with my interests, so all kinds.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration for me comes from all over really. My grandfather was a painter, and I suppose that helps drive me, but it’s also a love of media. I find so much inspiration in music, movies, history, Anime, Video games other artists and the world. But it’s like there is something inside me, something old and cosmic that I’ve been trying to figure out, and art helps bring it out. So part of my inspiration is just to figuring myself out and then hopefully connecting with the people it resonates with
What would you do with $25,000?I feel like right now I’m at a point where I need to expand and grow, so I would invest in myself. It would allow me to take classes and meet new people. It would allow me to see my oldest of friends that are so far away. It would allow me to update my studio and get the things I need to make more art. It would give me some time to just be myself and let things flow and in doing so hopefully build connections with other like minded artists and see what blooms, because I love co creation!
