I mainly work with photography, drawing, and performance. I find remarkably interesting the intersection of visual and sound disciplines.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Images summon our consciousness and subconscious. They create a polylogue, one single image holds the power to change us.
Where do you find inspiration? Most of the time my images are acts of love toward the people around me, to the places we inhabit, to the age we have reached and the time we have used. I am interested in images that draw from our history, in particular i am interested in women history and the complexity of it.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to produce "Daughters," a performance/tableau vivant, that would involve the participation of 20 to 25 female identifying performers. A participatory event taking place in a public space. In our society, the word daughter is used to describe a biological relation to a person and family, a bestowed responsibility toward other humans and the environment, a term of affection or influence. "Daughters" is conceived by Domenica Bucalo and choreographed by Sheila Anozier.
