Art is therapy. It gives people joy. It helps people connect to themselves and to others. It makes the world a more beautiful place.

My favorite medium is fabricated metal, it’s very forgiving and its strength and flexibility are unparalleled. I like to create art that elicits an emotional response that is unique to the viewer. I like to create abstract forms that are open to interpretation, so people draw from, and put their own feelings and memories into the work. My sculptures are a replication of my emotions, but also a reflection of the viewer.
Where do you find inspiration? My work is an emotional response to my daily life, but my forms are inspired by nature, plant life, earth, the sea, but most of all energy. I’m trying to express the energy that you cannot see. I’m trying to turn raw emotion into something physical.
What would you do with $25,000?I would like to create a new body of work that relates to my recent PTSD and autism diagnosis. Tactile, grounding and calming.
