I love all forms of art, but my favorites are acrylic painting (on anything), pen&ink, & writing poetry. Surrealism is my favorite form. That’s where you get to see what you wouldn’t normally see. Putting things together that “arent” supposed to fit makes for an interesting puzzle for my mind and helps with my mental illness. GrimStice (the Lady Justice as the Grim Reaper), is a perfect example.

I find inspiration from many different avenues. I love watching people create, it’s inspiring. Not in a competitive “I can do better than you” way, but seeing what other people see and the way they express it. My mother who has passed away was always an inspiration, making her proud was always important to me. Finally, the only thing I found comfort in growing up & throughout my life dealing with mental illnesses was creating art & writing. I’d love to bring awareness to the world through art.

To be honest, I’m not sure what I would do with this amount of money. It could be life changing for me. The chance to continue to spread the message of mental health awareness using artwork as an outlet in a studio workshop, would be amazing. I’d love to show the world what an immaculate artist my mother was by honoring her work in a place where anyone could see. Mostly, I need a stable home and this could be my chance to get on my feet so I can accomplish these goals.
