Art uplifts my spirit when creating or viewing, as an artist, I want to share this feeling with the world.

I love painting portraits. To me, painting faces gives life to art. When I paint faces, i don't use natural skin tones. The multiple colors I use creates something uniquely beautiful. The multiple colors represent the multiple ethnicities inherent in mankind. viewers of my art are drawn inly the explosion of colors, focusing on the beauty and forgetting about the ethnic differences that tend to keep us apart.
Where do you find inspiration?I have always been a history buff. Old black and white photos of days gone by intrigue me. Who were these people in the photos? How did they live? What gas them joy, and what gave them pain? I try to immortalize them on canvas. I want to tell their stories. I also find inspiration in the day to day lives lives of people in this generation. I feelies my duty to show future generations know how life was in the past.
What would you do with $25,000?I am retired from working in corporate America, I am currently a full-time artist, who collects social security while teaching art part time. My home, which I would love to become my gallery, is falling apart. I would get my porch and my central air repaired.
