Art is therapy. I release my stress and emotions and transfer them through brush strokes and color to create emotionally evocative images.

I feel compelled to create freeflowing expressions of my moods and environmental influences. I use color and texture with broad swooping lines, short thick dabs, and abstract shapes to elicit personal emotional responses and intrigue for each individual viewer that is dependent on their perceptions.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration from my internal thoughts and emotions. I never know what creation will evolve when faced with a blank canvas. I choose a set of colors and brushes that appeal to me in the moment. Throwing caution to the wind, I make a bold first stroke and intuitively follow with what leads next. Although I am awed by the natural beauty of our planet, I find that letting my subconscious mind direct my work is not only joyful and satisfying, but vital to my whole being.
What would you do with $25,000?I would take my family out to dinner to thank them for all of their support. Next, I would build a small, properly ventilated art studio shed so I could move out of the tiny basement room I currently use. The funding would help me buy the supplies and tools I need for creating as well as allow me the privilege of supporting other local artists by purchasing some of their artwork. Up until now, my limited cash is simply spent on replacing my supplies as they are used.
