Art, or creative expression, is my way to breathe, a medium to express the complexities of our shared experiences.

My favorite type of art to create lives somewhere between emotion and resistance. I work in neo-expressionism, so I’m not chasing perfection—I’m chasing truth. I create pieces that feel raw, layered, and sometimes uncomfortable, because that’s where real stories sit. A lot of my work pulls from lived experience—pain, survival, growth, and transformation. I like creating art that speaks without needing permission, that reflects what’s often overlooked or silenced.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in lived experience—pain, survival, and transformation. The streets, worn textures, and overlooked spaces speak truth. Community, conversation, and resilience shape my vision. Stillness and breath help me process it all. I don’t chase inspiration—I recognize it in what’s real.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use the money to build a consistent studio space—somewhere to create, store materials, and collaborate. It wouldn’t just be for me, but a working environment for others too. From there, I’d expand mentorship by bringing in young artists to work hands-on, learning process, discipline, and storytelling through art. The goal is to turn the studio into a small creative hub where art, guidance, and healing exist together.
