Creating art through writing, photography & the performing arts allows me to step out of the painful shoes I wear and breathe fresher air
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
The performing arts are very close to my heart. To become another person on set gives an emotional relief that few other mediums offer. It effectively decimates the heaviness that sits atop my shoulders each and every day. One cannot offload the weight of the past, but one can find solace while becoming another person or character. Writing stories from certain characters’ point of view is also a rewarding experience.
Where do you find inspiration? In many cases, I find inspiration from my own experiences, and from people who are apart of my life, whether just in passing or a long lasting friend or family member. Additionally, I combine traditional inspiration from writers like Nathaniel West, Stephen King, or screenwriter Mike Flanagan. I also draw deep inspiration from an artist I admire deeply, the one and only, Johnny Depp.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the funds strategically to finish the post production on my two upcoming films, Aqua Mortem and Ascendant, and donate a portion to the Alzheimer’s Foundation
