I love creating because it allows me to express what I feel without words and connect with souls who are going through the same experiences.

I create art that feels alive, emotional, imperfect, and deeply human. I’m drawn to expressive portraits and vibrant color because I believe faces can tell entire stories without words. I love using bold, unexpected colors to reveal emotions words often fail to explain — vulnerability, strength, softness, chaos, and freedom. I don’t try to paint people exactly as they are; I try to paint what they feel like. To me, beauty lives in imperfection, in being just you
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from emotions and lived experiences. Through my art, I try to transform difficult feelings into something lighter — something that guides both myself and others toward hope, healing, and seeing a way forward. Creating art is deeply personal for me; it’s a form of release, a safe space where I can express what words sometimes cannot. Every piece I create carries a part of my emotions, my growth, and my journey.
What would you do with $25,000?This prize is the bridge to the life I want for my family . As a Venezuelan artist and mother of three, I’ve always built worlds out of nothing. This would fund a physical studio to take my art to the world and, most importantly, provide my daughter—a brilliant young artist—the university education she needs. We’ve had little materially, but my spirit thinks big. I strongly believe that creating from the heart truly open doors to the world.
