Mixed media wall work. I use a technique called Sgraffito, which is overlaying iridescent oil pastels over French wax crayon, then using tools to scratch through, thus providing multiple TEXTURES, as well as amazing color mixes. Most of my work is either about social and political issues (the lives of artists, the state of our nation, identity, death customs) OR quirky architectonic pieces and self-observations. I also incorporate lots of TEXT as art….
Where do you find inspiration?I listen to my heart, my gut, and above all my eyes - as they all react to the world around me.
What would you do with $25,000?Buy more art supplies and a new work table. (And maybe try to get the leak in my studio ceiling fixed!)
