Honestly, I’m not sure where my art originates. I experience a vision of what wants to take form, and my body brings it into existence.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I’m most drawn to creating art that feels ancient and visceral—pieces that seem as though they were unearthed from a tomb or discovered deep within a cave.
Where do you find inspiration?I’ve always been deeply fascinated by the art of ancient cultures, especially the indigenous civilizations of the Americas, Africa, and the Middle East. There’s something profoundly moving about their work that resonates with me beyond words. Their art speaks to me on a deeper level and continues to be my greatest source of inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would first help support my family and take care of some of my financial responsibilities. I would also use part of it to travel to places that deeply inspire my art—places rich in history, culture, and creativity that fuel my imagination and strengthen my connection to the work I create.
