I started drawing before writing, it's in my nature to create art; I was Leonardo DaVinci's assistant in my past life
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is what comes naturally. I like to start a canvas with no preconceived notion and let the painting develop on its own, guided by what I’m channeling from the atmosphere around me and the emotions within me. I incorporate sacred geometry and color harmony with the intention of creating work that can gently heal the mind through the eyes, similar to the way a yantra functions.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in everything - pain, love, life, and nature. There’s usually a deep emotional connection that draws me toward a theme, something I feel rather than think. From that, a new idea begins to form, something that didn’t exist before and it carries a certain energy that reflects that moment.
What would you do with $25,000?First, I would take care of my teeth. I’m in daily pain, and it’s beginning to affect my overall health, so it’s something I need to address before it gets worse. Then I would buy a reliable used car. I currently drive adults with mental disabilities for work, and my Honda Civic is nearing the end of its life. Most of my income goes toward gas and repairs, so a dependable hybrid vehicle would truly be a blessing and bring stability to my daily life.
