I’m drawn to photography because it lets me hold on to a moment that would otherwise be gone forever.

Black and white photography has become my true passion. Stripping away color forces you to see differently — light, shadow, texture, emotion. There’s nowhere to hide. A great black and white image lives or dies by composition and feeling alone, and that’s exactly what pulls me in. It’s not just about capturing what’s in front of me. It’s about finding the quiet truth inside the moment and letting it speak for itself.
Where do you find inspiration?Being out on the streets — that’s my canvas. There’s a rhythm to a city that you can only feel on foot. The light shifting between buildings, a stranger’s expression caught mid-thought, the quiet corners most people walk past without noticing. I’m drawn to the unscripted moments, the ones that can’t be staged or repeated. Every block is a new frame waiting to be seen, and the camera just helps me hold onto what was already there.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d plan a photo shoot trip inspired by the character Sean Penn played in The Secret Life of Walter Mitty — chasing light and stories across remote corners of the world. Greenland, Iceland, the Himalayas. Sleeping rough, traveling light, letting the journey shape the work instead of the other way around. That kind of immersion is where the real images live, and it’s the kind of trip you can’t fake or rush.
