I channel spiritual images. I love painting. Its my saving grace. I am an Indigenous abstract artist from Lutselke, Northwest Territories.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create abstract art guided by intuition, focusing on layering, texture, and emotion. I’m drawn to cool tones balanced with softer colors. I build and stretch my own canvases, staying connected to each piece from start to finish. I prefer large-scale works that allow freedom of movement, often working on multiple paintings over weeks or months as each one evolves naturally.
Where do you find inspiration? As an intuitive Indigenous artist, I draw inspiration from the unseen world, where spirit and energy guide my creative process. Each piece carries messages meant for those who are drawn to it, offering connection beyond the physical. I believe my art speaks directly to the soul, creating space for reflection, feeling, and a deeper understanding that cannot always be put into words.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would put it towards building a tiny home with an art studio on the shores of Great Slave Lake. Creating a space to offer art residencies with Indigenous Abstract Artist Eileen Marlowe.
