Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

Favouritism perpetuates narrow mindedness, restricting us from noticing and working with the confusion and relief that lies between words that can’t express safely enough. My eclectic, exploratory stance provides the freedom of play, to be within the creative process, the window allowing others to notice. I love creating expressions of experience, one with self and through others, untethered. Insider-Outsider expressionism is how I invite others to ‘be’ connected inside-out and outside-in.

Where do you find inspiration?

Everywhere and anywhere, conscious and unconscious exploration. I was once asked, ‘Don’t you get enough art?’. I smirked and laughed at the idea that art has a beginning and an end. Life itself is the most impactful teacher. When we pay attention, present and openminded, we notice the details as the story unfolds into the next. It’s not only through the eyes of the beholder, but within the process of experiencing and meaning-making that we are inspired.

Celebrate with gratitude by making the most of what I can by utilizing every penny of the $25,000.Invest in myself through exploration and activity in the arts, on my own and in collaboration. Purchase lessons, training, better tools, equipment, supplies, and engage in opportunities to expand skill and connection through collaborations. Give and receive by affording art to those who are passionate about purchasing, learning, teaching, and collaborating with what I can. Have a blast doing it all
