My favorite kind of art to create are pieces that make a person question what they are or are not perceiving. Something to keep the mind perplexed and intrigued by each line drawn. I love creating the creatures often found in the deepest depths of our minds and those who lurk in the shadows of our most atrocious nightmares. Because to me, the vulnerability of fear, sadness and loneliness are best portrayed by dark fantasy. And each creature I conjure bleeds those feelings through each stroke
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration through pieces of media that leave me thinking what more is possible. From fantastical creatures to monsters of shadow, and things you couldn’t even imagine in your wildest dreams. I pursue to translate the hellish zoo within my mind onto paper to invite others to perceive them as I once did. And to delight in the darker sides of the creative mind.
What would you do with $25,000?In a world where simply buying a home in our regular day economy can be one of the most straining tasks of all, I hope to put 25,000 towards a home and some aside for an art tablet for my work.
