Sketching turns chaos into clarity—raw, unfiltered emotion in every line. For 34 years, it’s been my refuge, my voice, my home.

Still life sketching lets me slow down and truly see—finding quiet beauty in ordinary objects, turning simple moments into something lasting. I love the fresh scent of ebony as it meets the page, the soft rhythm of pencil on paper. In those moments, the noise of the world fades, and all that exists is what I choose to reveal.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the life unfolding around me—especially in my kids, whose play reminds me to see with honesty and wonder. Sitting outside centers me; birdsong, fresh-cut grass, and blooming flowers quiet my mind. In those personal, fleeting moments, I find what feels real enough to capture.
What would you do with $25,000?I’d use $25,000 to create more stability and meaningful time with my family—supporting my kids’ needs and experiences while investing in my art. I’d build a small, dedicated studio space, stock quality materials, and give myself room to grow creatively, so I can keep turning everyday moments into something lasting for them.
