I love creating art because it helps me make sense of the world in a way words alone never can. To me, art feels like a natural expression.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating drawings and sketches using mixed media, combining a variety of art materials into a single piece. This approach lets me build up detail with each unique tool—from artist markers and paints to colored pencils. I think of my process like constructing a building, where the canvas or paper serves as the foundation.
Where do you find inspiration?I approach my art as a kind of journey, shaped by exploring and learning from artists around the world, including traditions like classical iconography and biblical imagery. When I feel I’ve hit a plateau, I look to other cultures and artistic styles, studying and reinterpreting them in ways that inform and enrich my own work.
What would you do with $25,000?Using the $25,000 would help me strengthen my skills and build a solid foundation for my artistic growth. With the opportunity to win, I hope to expand my work’s visibility and share it with a global audience. Inspired by Willy Wonka, “Don’t forget what happened to the man who suddenly got everything he always wanted, he lived happily ever after.”
