Painting straight out free flowing without self-censorship is my favorite I love to lean into a imagined world with a few colors to start with adding more as I go as historical and current images grow on canvas together with faces and architecture looking out from a surreal viewpoint echoing psychedelic moodiness in beautiful places long gone or yet to arrive.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration strikes me with distance from my work when random unrelated ideas combine in my mind striking me hard with a ah ha moment of I must paint this. Then later inspiration strikes again when I am in the work and I am deciding how to complete it and so I take a few days to see it from another point of view working on other pieces and seeing if they relate as a group in any way before I decide it is done.
What would you do with $25,000?Survival! To be able to go full force on my new Art. I have invested my lifetime into Art, piece after piece to get to my current series. Since covid I’ve been in solitude having epiphanies within my work. Art, my calling, has come at a high price of living on the edge for a very long time without support from the Art world. Support for my Art from the Art world considering how much Art I have already created will make a big difference, allowing my spirit to breathe for once as I create.
