I love making art because it allows me to access and transform what is often unseen—ancestral memory, subconscious patterns, emotions.

My favorite work to create is art that emerges from deep introspective and ritual-like processes. I’m drawn to pieces that allow me to access and translate subconscious and ancestral layers—where personal experience becomes a gateway to something collective. These works often feel less “made” and more revealed, as if I’m uncovering patterns, memories, and emotions that already exist beneath the surface
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration within my own lineage—through ancestral memory, inherited patterns, and inner landscapes. Practices like hypnosis and family constellations help me access these deeper layers. Nature is also a constant source of inspiration, offering both grounding and renewal, nurturing the same cycles of transformation that I explore in my work.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000, I would secure a studio space and transform it into a creative sanctuary—both for myself and for other artists who, like me, are immigrants or new to Los Angeles and face barriers to access. I envision a shared environment with gardens, fruit trees, and communal areas that nurture creation, connection, and a sense of belonging.
