I create art to share how I see and feel the world, and it heals me in the process.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I like creating art that helps people feel something real again. I want it to remind them to slow down and notice beauty and depth in the moment. I try to capture emotions like the ones you feel at the ocean, calm, awe, strength, and a sense of letting go.
Where do you find inspiration?I get most of my inspiration from the people I love, the ocean, and nature. Love is the biggest influence on my work—it’s what drives me to create. When I feel something strongly, I try to turn it into something visual. My art is really about connection, life, and making feelings you can’t see more real.
What would you do with $25,000?After losing everything in the Palisades Fire, including my cameras, gear, and art supplies, I had to start over. I have been using my iPhone since that is what I have right now. When you are rebuilding, you focus on basics first, so getting professional gear is not always possible right away. But yes, I would want to get a good camera again to document this new chapter of life.
