I create art to recover my own self, I spent so long being insecure and copying others I didn’t know my own emotion. Art helps me find it
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Fashion, and oil painting. Fashion is available for me to live in my art no matter where I am. And oil paint helps me learn to be patient with myself, take the time that is given to me and spend it with no distractions.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration from the dreams that I have. I try not to dwell on others art especially famous ones. I want to create something new, something close enough to the pure version of who I am. Although inspiration from greats is needed to begin with, I hope that I can finish with something only recognized as my own. But for now just the intense intake of many art mediums are my inspiration. Movies, music, literature, social media and conversations are my inspiration.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use the money to help me buy a place so I can start my business. I wish to open a multi medium art space for art communities. It would also be a donation center for books and art supplies and clothing. I would love to donate the clothing to homeless shelters in the area. The food would be all gluten free. It would be called Doré. My middle name and great grandmothers. It means golden in French. I would like to start my own fashion and art brand after this is started.
