Photography. Although I do a little of everything, photography is what I love. It’s that beautiful moment that you can capture quicker than the blink of an eye that will fascinate me till my last breath.
Where do you find inspiration?There is so much inspiration in everything. I can describe it as Werner Herzog describes the book The Peregrine by J.A. Baker “describing it as a masterpiece of ‘intense observation’.” Everything I see becomes an instant photograph in my mind without the camera. I see things materialize like a movie scene. Applying these visions to paper as a visual or by word. My Ice Photos are my most exhibited work. There is no post production. Light source is sky, artificial light, colors reflected.
What would you do with $25,000?For 6 years I was my dad’s primary caregiver. He passed last April 27th and during those 6 years I produced so much art that I ran out of room. I wanted to show him as much as I could if he didn’t have a whole lot of time. I tried to get my movie made during this time. Was able to make a Short. Featured at PKD Film Festival. While I assist my mom and my sis who has MS, the winnings would go towards keeping me alive and getting a new camera & equipment so I can upgrade and keep myself in the game
