Art allows me to express emotions in ways that words could never convey. Creation brings beauty into a world full of destruction and pain.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love trying out new mediums and experimenting, but my favorite three that I keep coming back to would probably be charcoal, graphite, and painting. I have been making art since I was a young girl, drawing and painting ever since I can remember. Those first two mediums will always hold a special place in my heart.
Where do you find inspiration?Inspiration finds me sometimes when I least expect it. I get inspired by nature, the people around me, and other artists' work. My favorite form of inspiration is the human experience. I try to recreate certain feelings into my artwork, either that I myself experience, or that I see in the world around me. This can help me to express my feelings and I always hope that others can relate to it as well.
What would you do with $25,000?The money would go towards my future creative endeavors and goals. I have been an art teacher for 7 years, and I am currently teaching animation classes. I would love to explore the field of animation in greater depth to allow me to be an even better teacher. We currently use a lot of free programs, and it would be amazing to be able to introduce some more advanced programs for students interested in pursuing animation as a career! Passing on the love of creation to the next generation.
