I create art for the pure joy of watching people find pieces of themselves reflected back at them through my work. Past, present, future.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art is emotionally expressive painting. Works that use light, texture, and gestures to create connection, regardless of whether it's done in acrylic or oil.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the human experience. Memory, emotion, and moments that feel quietly powerful. I'm drawn to dramatic lighting, subtle gestures, and the way texture and brushstrokes can convey feeling. Often, I start with a mood or an emotional question rather than a fixed image, and build a piece that allows the viewers to project their own story into it.
What would you do with $25,000?Winning 25k would let me buy back my time and give me the freedom to fully invest in my work. I would put the money towards materials I need to continue allowing me to create without compromising quality or vision. I would also use part of the award to share my work more widely through exhibitions or outreach, ensuring the art reaches the people it's meant to connect with.
