I love fantasy art, pop art, fun animal art & mixed mediums to create layers & depth with a touch of abstract. My favorite thing to do is start with a blank canvas & let the art come to me. Depending on my mood, the color pallet can take me down a path in my imagination that I didn’t know was there! Art is a passion, a tool & a form of therapy for those that have the ability to create, let go & live in their talent. I have no close family so painting for me helps me feel connected to life.
Where do you find inspiration?Life’s struggles, mistakes, successes, Heartache & healing inspire me. I’ve lived a very hard life. Most people don’t know what I’ve gone thru but art helps me express myself & release emotions without telling anyone what those emotions are. Being a woman life has extra hurdles in day to day life, art is one industry that is based on what you do not who you are. Often the less you fit into society the more you fit into the life of an Artist.
What would you do with $25,000?With 25,000 I would get health insurance. Since the pandemic it’s harder to be an artist & thrive. I am now self employed as a bread route owner & do not have health insurance currently. After that I would love to create more art & get more art supplies so I can leave my fingerprint in this life in some way & I would need to add to my savings. The current state of our country makes the future look unforeseen, for the first time in my life I feel afraid of tomorrow & being an American.
