I create art to quiet the voices in my head, and escape the heaviness of the world. I rediscover childhood in color, drawing and breathing.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Currently, I enjoy painting on canvas with acrylics. I have worked with many mediums, including sculpting with clay and wool (felting) knitting, carving wood, drawing with pencil, colored pencils, ink, markers, charcoal and pastels. I also love creating collages and mosaics.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in people and nature and generally everywhere I look.
What would you do with $25,000?I would pay off my bills and debt, and move from California to Washington to buy a house with my best friend, on our own land. I am a widow and life is lonely, now. My friend is divorced and her children are nearly grown and out of the house. I miss her terribly. We want to enjoy the rest of our lives and be "old ladies" together. We plan to start an in home childcare business. I will continue on with my art and display it in galleries, to enjoy doing what I love and sharing it with others.
