Connect What is your favorite type of art to create?

My favorite type of art to create is mixed media work, where I take my photographs of the human form in nature without any clothing or man-made objects, and overlay different materials, such as paint, leaves, crystals, and resin onto the work. The fine art photography of nude bodies in nature is the basis of all my work and a daily prayer. Another very important part of my art practice is video work such as fine art films, experimental and documentaries as well as performance art.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find inspiration everywhere. Each day, when looking at nature, in my meditations, dreams… Every single moment of my life is a snapshot of inspiration in someway or another whether it be the light coming through a tree or a vision I have of words painted over an image. I find inspiration in human interactions, museums, events, nature, and deep inside of my mind, in the cave of my heart.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would invest it back into my art… Purchasing art materials to create more work, and also to produce community events. Hosting healing circles and art therapy events are of the utmost important to me and my creative practice. With additional funding, I would have more time and resources to host these types of events where there is an opportunity for the public to come together and create art, embracing the catharsis of the process, sharing this mystical practice with the world.
