Creating art is a calling, shaping culture, stirring hearts and minds, and leaving an imprint that lives beyond our final earth walk.

My practice is anchored in Culture in Decay, an ongoing series examining the traces time leaves behind, through corrosion, memory, lore, and the poetry of impermanence. Through a bold language of color, texture, and rhythm, I create work that feels both visceral and resonant. As a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, I perceive music as color and motion, and that synesthetic relationship is deeply embedded in every piece I create.
Where do you find inspiration?I move through the world with an artist’s lens, gathering inspiration from everyone and everything around me. The bold colors of the Santa Fe and New Mexican landscape, the textures of earth and weathered surfaces, and the cadence of poetry and song all converge in Culture in Decay. I am constantly collecting fragments of beauty, memory, and emotion, allowing place, sound, and human experience to inform every piece I create.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest the $25,000 into expanding my artistic practice through materials, larger-scale works, and a dedicated studio space. Currently, I create within the confines of a bedroom, so having a true studio would transform not only my process but the scope and ambition of the work itself, allowing Culture in Decay to evolve in more immersive and expansive ways.
