At the moment, portraiture. However, my art gravitates towards whatever moves me. I’ve been drawn towards really capturing the portraiture of people ever since I was a child and within recent years, I’ve moved towards painting the portraits of some of the less fortunate (homeless) people in my city. This has led me towards wondering how art can play a role in enacting community and social change in our everyday lives.
Where do you find inspiration? In the every day world around me. The small moments that often go unseen or unnoticed. In the beauty of the dismissed.
What would you do with $25,000?I would use part of it to pay off my student loans from my undergrad and I would invest it into my work alongside creating a business for my art practices.
