My favorite type of art is paintings. I love painting because I am able to mix and blend whatever colors I want. Being able to create my own colors that express or match my emotions is also something I love about painting. It gives my paintings more emotion and depth to its meaning once it’s finished. I want people to feel the emotion I put into my art. I also enjoy using oil pastels as another medium. Even though it’s messy I love seeing the end result it’s always beautiful, like a sunset.
Where do you find inspiration?I find most of my inspiration from going out into nature and seeing flowers, sunsets, or just something beautiful outside and also from music. Between nature and music I find lots of inspiration to fuel my creativity. My favorite song to have on replay while painting is Stick Season by Noah Kahan. Something about its rhythm puts me at ease and makes painting therapeutic. My favorite way to get nature inspiration is by going on a hike with friends and drawing plants or taking pictures of sunsets.
What would you do with $25,000?If I were to win the $25,000 I would use it to pay my medical bills, and to find a cure or things to help with my illnesses and make them more manageable. After my health is taken care of I would put a good amount left in savings and get a car so I am able to commute to and from work safely. I would also like to use some of it to help further my education into art and business, maybe even cosmetology because I enjoy doing people’s hair and makeup in order for them to feel their best.
