I love to create art because it's my way of connecting with others, and how I process my deep emotions, fears, and experiences.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
My favorite type of art to create is acrylic and oil paintings, and I've also experimented with mixed media and airbrushing. I love all mediums, but acrylic and oil are what I use the most. Additionally, I sketch using charcoal, pencil, pastels, colored pencils, gel pens, and ink. I love combining the beauty of both death and life to create colorful and striking pieces.
Where do you find inspiration?I draw inspiration for my work through my life experiences and use my personal reflections, emotions, and the people in my life as my muse. My work is a window into who I am and the emotions I felt when each was made, and it's evolved over the last 20 years.
What would you do with $25,000?Primarily, I would use it for sustainability, independence, and the ability to continue creating. I want to start my own business, quit my job, and create for a living. I also desire to attend classes and/or workshops to hone my craft, travel for further research, and gain the freedom to expand my portfolio.
