It's not just a love to create, it is a need to. I struggle with communicating and this is how I display the jumbled mess that is in my head
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I enjoy creating pop culture related art. Recently, I created a Beedrill Pokémon with the Wu-Tang symbol. However, I’ve been trying to discover my style which I’ve seen come through in the piece I’ve submitted. I love to create pieces with eyes. The eyes themselves are incredibly telling, and I know mine are a dead giveaway to everything I am feeling, so I’ve been focused on understanding that in an artistic style.
Where do you find inspiration?Lately, I’ve been using my recent trauma and the loss of my father to help me process and grieve. It’s been much of my inspiration for my art as of late. There was a period of a year when I was in a less than ideal living situation and I couldn’t grieve my dad the way I needed. I finally got out and essentially lost everything. My job and my home, but I had to channel it so, it was suggested that I start to create and put it into art.
What would you do with $25,000?Truthfully, I want a studio apartment to get back on my feet. I want my own stability and to truly feel proud of me.
