Creating art lets me turn feelings into something real—it’s where intuition, freedom, and self-expression come to life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I love creating wearable art—custom hats that tell a story. Each piece is one-of-one, blending western influence with personal expression. It’s more than design; it’s about capturing someone’s energy, style, and story in something they can live in every day.
Where do you find inspiration?I find inspiration in the western lifestyle, nature, and the people I meet along the way. Living in Montana, I’m constantly influenced by open landscapes, earthy tones, and a slower, more intentional way of life. A lot of my ideas also come from connection—hearing someone’s story and translating that into something visual and meaningful.
What would you do with $25,000?I would invest it back into growing Westward Hats—expanding materials, upgrading tools, and increasing production so I can take on more custom work without losing the handmade quality. I’d also use part of it to travel to shows and markets, connect with new communities, and continue building a brand that represents creativity, individuality, and the western spirit.
