As a musician and visual artist, my oil paintings contain hidden sound devices when you walk by, the canvas sings in tone and frequency.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
I create immersive, emotionally driven art that blends painting, music, and human experience. My current work centers around large-scale oil portraits that extend beyond the canvas into sound. I’m drawn to art that invites the viewer inside it where emotion isn’t just seen, but physically felt through presence, movement, and perception.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from human emotion especially the unspoken spaces between people. Growing up in Sweden and living many years in the U.S., I’m shaped by both nature and urban life. My own experiences with vulnerability, anxiety, and healing guide me toward creating art that connects deeply, where stillness, sound, and presence become part of the story.
What would you do with $25,000?I would bring to life an immersive oil painting installation of two facing portraits two presences existing in tension and harmony. As you move between them, fragments of sound emerge: voices, choirs, languages shifting depending on where you stand. Nothing is fixed; meaning is fluid. The piece explores two worlds meeting beyond conflict, where perception shapes reality. The funding would allow me to fully realize the physical space, materials, and hidden sonic layers of the work.
