What is your favorite type of art to create?

I love to create art that allows me to explore myself through the interesting people that shape who I am. Not exactly my favorite, but this creative exploration will be one I cherish forever in gratitude for those of which I adore & will miss. I’ve been able to transform my abstract connections into symbolic talismans that resonate with people in ways that I have never imagined. I find it really fun to understand the way others perceive my art, because it’s a big part of what makes me, me.

Where do you find inspiration?

I find most of my inspiration starring off into space, thinking of how I can transform my ideas into purposeful gifts & adornments for those I value. Once I figure out for whom & what I’ll be crafting for, I research my ideas for some clarification. I try to have several sources to understand my process before I go to pen & paper to design anything, but I typically do hands on planning first to work within my budget. I am inspired by my passion to someday teach.

What would you do with $25,000?

I would help pay off my higher education & housing. It would also fund some of my art supplies & groceries so I can spend less time working. I’ve explored many beaded embroidery designs & crochet and would soon like to scale up my work to sell. I plan to reuse thrifted clothes & recycled yarn too to scale down on my carbon footprint crafting.
