I create art to identify myself and my weird ideas but more than that I love to create art for people and to bring their visions to life.
You decide who will appear in Artforum Magazine, take home $25,000, and display their work at The Art of Elysium's Salon!
Painting will always have my heart and it has always been what I was drawn to but I find that depending on the piece I am making I will change what style and medium will use to suit it best. My work will always have some element of surrealism in it because to me making a pretty painting has nothing of substance in it besides capturing that image or feeling. My favorite type of art to create is to make something that has people stop and stare to wonder the story behind it.
Where do you find inspiration? My inspiration comes from the people and experiences that I go through as well as the media I consume. Growing up in a ghost house brought me to the place I am today and showed me my love for horror, gore and eccentricity. Without this I would have never discovered Hidetaka Miyazaki and Kentaro Miura and the many other creative minds that I have come across during my lifetime. To me, my inspiration is always present no matter where I go it just depends on how I apply it.
What would you do with $25,000?With $25,000 I would put it towards my education. I am going to be a freshman college student at Gnomon in LA after attending community college for 3 years. Having this money would mean I wouldn't have to stress about my finances and instead I can pour all of my energy into my education being a full time artist by growing creatively and focusing on my long term goals. Without the stress of money I feel more motivated and inspired to be creative and produce something that I am really proud of.
