i don't really have a favorite type. if my inspiration has been inspired by the female figure , like a ode to the sacred , i found interesting to create some kind of tension suggesting hte struggle to be free ... i do love marble carving and usually love to get lost in the process
Where do you find inspiration? Not obvious at first , my inner culture has inspired me on the path of some kind of esthetic. And thru the Nabis artists that i discovered quite later , i realized my affinity with Japan, its culture and approche to some kind of perfection in the making ... even when imperfect! My burned wood in black marble or my Shibari work are in this realm. My work can be really different but some how are all linked in the invisible .
What would you do with $25,000?i would go to Japan and make sculpture in Washi paper like a cross road of the east and the west .
